Films We Like recently completed an all-new 4K restoration of Twist, director Ron Mann’s 1992 award-winning documentary about the 1960s dance craze. This new restoration, completed under the technical supervision of Sue Len Quon, will be released later this year by Films We Like’s new film preservation label Films We Liked.
For the new 4K restoration, Films We Like transferred original film elements at Frame Discreet, Toronto and coloured, removed scratches, and corrected physical flaws at Urban Post Production, Toronto. The new restoration will premiere at a soon-to-be-announced film festival, followed by a North American VOD release on Films We Like’s new label Films We Liked. The Canadian Pay-TV service Hollywood Suites is scheduled to broadcast the classic film later in 2016.
Films We Like previously restored Ivan Reitman’s Cannibal Girls (1973) and Voulez-Vous Coucher Avec God? (1972) by Michael Hirsh and Jack Christie. Films We Liked plans to release a restoration of Paul Shapiro’s Hockey Night (1984) produced by Martin Harbury and starring Megan Follows.
