SUBTRACTION

For Immediate Release – Films We Like has acquired the Canadian rights to Subtraction, a noir thriller directed by Iranian director Mani Haghighi, which had its World Premiere in the Platform section of the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival.
The cutting-edge director of many feature films including the critically acclaimed Pig (2018) is a graduate of McGill University, Montreal.
In downtown Tehran, a young driving instructor named Farzaneh, spots her husband walking into a woman’s apartment. Later, when she confronts him about it, he denies it was him. Deciding to investigate, he encounters a woman named Bita, who looks identical to his wife, and whose husband looks like him.
